Omega Seiki Mobility launches Swayamgati autonomous e-3 wheeler
Date: 01 Oct 2025
Omega
Seiki Mobility (OSM) has officially launched Swayamgati — world’s first
production-ready autonomous electric three-wheeler, now available for commercial
deployment. Priced at just Rs 4 lakh for the
passenger version, the vehicle is a breakthrough in delivering affordable
autonomy for urban India.
Swayamgati
integrates Omega Seiki Mobility’s electric vehicle platform with AI-driven
retrofit autonomy system, offering seamless and intelligent transport for
short-distance use cases in airports, smart campuses, industrial parks, gated
communities, and dense urban environments. The autonomous vehicle requires
prior mapping, which can be customised as per the client’s requirements for the
desired distance or route coverage.
Swayamgati
recently completed Phase 1 testing with a 3-km autonomous route that included 7
stops, real-time obstacle detection, and safe passenger movement—all without
human intervention. With these results validated, Phase 2 now begins with
commercial rollout in controlled environments.
Unlike
autonomous vehicles designed for premium global markets, Swayamgati is
purpose-built for the unique challenges of Indian roads and urban environments.
It is engineered to function reliably in high-density, low-speed traffic
scenarios, and across diverse terrains. Its compact design and intelligent
navigation system make it ideal for smart cities, transport hubs, gated
campuses, and industrial zones. Being 100% electric, it contributes to zero
tailpipe emissions while significantly reducing operational and maintenance
costs. More importantly, its affordability ensures that cutting-edge autonomous
technology is not limited to luxury fleets but is accessible to cities and
businesses across India—from metros to Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations.
